1. About the Service

Valencia Expat Daily is an AI-curated daily news digest for expats living in or interested in Valencia, Spain. We aggregate news from publicly available Spanish-language sources, summarize and translate them into English, and deliver them via a daily email newsletter and a web application.

2. Accounts and Authentication

To access the Service, you create an account using your email address. We use a passwordless magic link system - when you sign up or log in, we send a secure link to your email. No passwords are created or stored. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.

3. Free and Paid Tiers

The Service offers two tiers:

• Free tier - free forever, no credit card required. Includes the daily email digest and access to the web app with core features.
• Pro tier - a paid subscription that unlocks additional features. Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe.

4. Subscription and Billing

Pro subscriptions are managed entirely through Stripe, our payment processor. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period. We do not store your payment details - all billing information is handled securely by Stripe.

5. Acceptable Use

The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

• Redistribute, republish, or resell the content provided by the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download content from the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service

6. Content Disclaimer

The news summaries provided by Valencia Expat Daily are generated using artificial intelligence. They are summaries of articles from publicly available news sources - not original journalism. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You should not rely solely on our summaries for critical decisions and should consult the original sources when precision matters.

7. Intellectual Property

The summaries, translations, and curated content delivered through the Service are the intellectual property of Valencia Expat Daily. The original articles and source material belong to their respective publishers. We do not claim ownership of third-party content. Our Service provides links to original sources where available.

8. Service Availability

We provide the Service on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Valencia Expat Daily and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or 50 EUR, whichever is greater.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. For significant changes, we may notify you via email.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.
